“While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.”
Right now, in the Northern Hemisphere it is winter, but although it is cold, and the days are short, no one is worrying that the cold is here to stay, because the turning and changing of the seasons has been set into creation. Whatever season we are experiencing today will have changed in several months’ time.
Our lives are also lived in seasons. Every season has its joys and its challenges, just like the varying climates that we experience through the turning of the year. Some are more challenging that others; it’s just part of life.
No season lasts forever. If you are in a winter season of your life right now, don’t get lost in the challenges, start anticipating Spring! It is just around the corner.
Even if you are at the darkest point in your life, just as Paul and Silas were at midnight in the inner jail at Philippi, God has a surprise in store for you. When the earthquake hit the jail, all the prisoners’ chains fell off and the jailer was converted. The outcome was better than anyone could have expected!
Regardless of the season you find yourself in right now, there is a hope and a future for you! Let your hope rise again as you get another revelation of the gospel of Jesus Christ – salvation by faith alone.
As a believer you get to win and come out on top simply because of whom you have believed and trusted. You may have done enough to deserve the hard times you are going through right now, but God will still lift you up again, when you believe His goodness and grace. Hope in Him again, and start rejoicing because sunny days are just around the corner. Blessing you as always!
Heavenly Father, thank you that you have set seasons into creation and my life is not just one type of experience. I am so grateful that you have a fresh season for me all the time. I stake my claim to good days ahead and the turning of my circumstances. I know that you have surprises up your sleeve for me, and that things are about to turn out better than I could have expected, because you are so GOOD in my life. Thank you, Lord!
