For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
There is one major thing that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has settled once and for all concerning you, and it is this: you are inferior to no man, and no one is better than you are. You have dignity and value and you are destined for His glory.
Don’t leave your house looking for others to affirm you and tell you who you are. You must know who you are by the grace of God. You must know that you have a right to be here and to rule your world, because He has placed His hand upon your life. You have a right to be delivered and anointed, to own houses and businesses and to prosper and excel.
As a parent, instill worth into your children before they are old enough to go to school. They shouldn’t be left in any doubt as to how valuable they are. Don’t give them an inner image of themselves as a “bad kid” no matter how challenging their behavior; give them every reason to leave that kind of behavior behind as they embrace their true identity in God.
God has set you up as a billboard, to show His grace through you. However wrong it has gone, don’t make your life an apology; we don’t need you to point out your shortcomings all the time. Make sure that your life becomes a statement of what God can do with fallen humanity. You might have had setbacks, but God can still make something of your life.
Just because we haven’t seen you do it yet, doesn’t mean that you can’t. Potential has to be stirred up. If you have been living passively, recognize it! Stir up your potential and don’t wait for someone to give you permission to succeed. You can be the one who makes the difference in someone’s life. Maybe they have been through ten relationships without ever really being open hearted to anyone, but you are anointed with the right combination to unlock that person and tame them to leave behind their wild days and become a godly human being.
Desiring to do something is proof of power. If you can think it, that is a sign that you can do it. You may need to sharpen your skill set, and discipline yourself to do and understand some things, but if you can imagine it, you can do it.
Are you withering because you feel like you have run out of strength? You are God’s workmanship: as are your days, so shall your strength be! Be like Caleb, “Give me this mountain! I am as strong now as I was 40 years ago!” He is indeed making something glorious out of your life because you are so precious to Him. Believe Him again today!
Heavenly Father, today I settle my heart because I accept that I am precious to you. I am valuable and I have dignity. I don’t need another human being to bestow dignity or honor on me, because YOU have already done that. My entire life is an advertisement for your goodness and a billboard declaring your grace and mercy and power at work in me.
Today I receive fresh grace. I shake off tiredness and I stir myself up to believe you again. The thing I desire, I know I can have it because I have the inner image of it from your Word. Thank you, Lord. You show off your goodness through my life, in Jesus’ name!
