Your life is a building project

Psalm 127:1

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.

True, Biblical success will not come from nowhere; it will come because over time, you built what God put in your heart to build, and God got involved with your building project!

Whatever it is that is on your heart to produce and achieve, you must prepare and practice. Exercise yourself unto godliness! Don’t quit after a week or two, or even a year or two! Just because the going gets tough, that is not an indication that it is time to give up. Persistence and determination are powerful currency in the realm of the spirit.

There is something about a human being who will not quit. Are you quitting too easily? Is your whole career grinding to a halt because someone said you wouldn’t make it? Or because they didn’t make room for you?

Put yourself on fast track by understanding the protocols off your environment and adapting to them. You can’t have purple-died hair on the trading floor. They won’t take you seriously. You can’t be a rock star and show up in a formal suit. That doesn’t match your chosen audience. Learn how your appearance will open the door to certain environments, and take care of it!

Take action and don’t be afraid to fail. Failure is part of the process, so don’t try to avoid it. Talk is cheap, but action is what makes the difference. Stay focused and keep building on what you have already done. Success is built as you keep trying, regardless of the times it doesn’t work as you thought it should.

Learn to work with others. Help people and bring them up. Lift others instead of using them to your own advantage. People will work with you because they like you. Don’t leave people and walk when it suits your agenda. Your relationships are vital, and when you have a little success, don’t let it go to your head, such that the people who are around you cannot stomach your company any more!

You should become more gracious the more you have the privilege to succeed. If your potential is maximized, will people be blessed or will people find that they cannot deal with you anymore, because you will not let them tell you anything! Are they secretly cursing the day you were raised up?

To keep yourself from being too impressed with yourself, you must laugh at yourself and not take yourself too seriously. If you can be relaxed about yourself, you will find it easier to stay free from offense. Stay “normal” like Jesus did. He carried Himself so “normally”, that when they came to arrest Him, the guards had to ask which one was Jesus!

Pray

Heavenly Father, your Word is  a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Thank you that you have called me to build a life that glorifies you! Right now, in the name of Jesus, I ask for the wisdom and grace to do it your way.

Thank you for maximizing my potential in my life-time. I speak success and increase over everything I put my hand on. Thank you that in partnership with you, Lord. I can build my life.
