End the frustration of working hard and getting nowhere

Proverbs 22:29

Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.

It is not crowded at the top! If it is crowded right now where you are, that should be a sign to you that it’s time to get better!

If you are competing with others for a few jobs or a few opportunities, you haven’t become excellent enough yet. When you begin to stand head and shoulders above your peers, you will be head hunted, even when you have another job! Successful people are always looking for brilliant, diligent, consistent people. If you are like that, there will always be room for you at the top!

One of the most frustrating experiences can be to stand your whole life before unknown men – those who have neither the power or the interest in changing your position or destiny. It doesn’t matter how hard you work, they simply don’t have the ability. If you present your ideas to them, they can’t do anything with them. That is not God’s intent for you or me!

Check your approach to the responsibilities and opportunities that come your way. If your aim is to get by, and to do just enough not to get fired, coasting along as long as no one notices, you are headed for frustration. We work as unto the Lord, and success comes to us as a result of our willingness to prepare diligently and go above and beyond what is strictly required of us.

Don’t just work hard though; make sure you polish your gift too! The system trains us to work on our weaknesses more than our strengths, but I submit to you that working more on our strengths is what is going to take us before kings! Whatever you know that you are good at today, start giving it some extra sparkle and extra energy, and watch God bring you before great men and women who have it in their power to fulfill your vision.

Pray

Heavenly Father, today I determine that I am not going to spend my life standing before unknown men, but I will stand before kings. Show me how to get there!

I receive the ability to become excellent in my field, and the tenacity to polish my gift day by day. I I declare in Jesus’ name that I stand head and shoulders above my peers and I am head hunted for all the best opportunities. Thank you, Lord!

  1. Thank you Pastor. I applauded one part more then others within the reading. When you spoke of polishing your strengths get even better at things you enjoy doing… And to ask God to show me how to stand before kings, opposed to spending the remainder of my life dealing with unknown men.
    Blessing you and the family
