Matthew 26: 41
“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
When your spirit is willing but your flesh is weak, you can bind things according to the Word, but they will have a way of loosing themselves again! To get to the place where the weakness of your flesh doesn’t lead you into something that is hard to get out of, you must start praying!
People get excited by the testimony of someone whose life God cleaned up, but an even better testimony is when you didn’t get into it in the first place because He kept you. How many things would you not have entered into if you had been in the place of prayer? The weakness of your flesh let the enemy in.
God wants to accomplish something through you. There was a woman called Hannah who was passionate about having a child. She prayed with great intensity and her request was granted. She thought it was just about her desire to be a mother, but God wanted to borrow her womb to accomplish His divine purpose. When Samuel was born, he became a great prophet and gave spiritual covering to all of Israel.
Imagine what God can accomplish through the womb of your prayer. Not only will you stop the enemy from terrorizing your life, but by processing your desires in prayer, you take your place in the plan of God in the Earth.
When did you last set yourself to pray? You won’t respond to life out of fear or weakness when you build up your spirit through praying. Talk to the Lord today!
Heavenly Father, thank you that you have given me the ability to have a strong spirit and to overcome fear and weakness in my life. Thank you that I am strong in you and in your strength, and I stir up the Holy Spirit within me as I set myself to pray.
I expect to be strong in the face of temptation today. I expect to win and to come out on top. Not only that but I expect to accomplish great things as I get in tune with you and your desires and purposes. In Jesus’ name!
