And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers
Remember is a covenant word. A powerful commitment has been made, and we must never forget it, because when we start to enjoy the good things that God has supplied for us, our job is to give the glory to Him!
When God says He has given us power to get wealth, He meant just that. We are not supposed to apologize for the fact, nor water it down because we might step on someone’s religious toes. I am going to help you to get out of your religion concerning the realities of life! Life is all about increase and mankind instinctively knows it. It’s time the church woke up to the fact that God has given us the power to increase.
Wealth is a covenant issue. It is not about our opinions or our persuasions; it is about restoring dignity to our God. Let’s see who will despise the anointing when they see it can provide material things. Our God is not just a speech. When we finance schools and churches and projects around the world from our own pockets, and still lift up our hands and give glory to Him, only then will His covenant will be established as it should be.
So many people fall into the trap of getting the wealth and then neglecting the One who gave them the power! Don’t get confused that the wealth came from your degree, or your skills or from the government. Money can deceive you into thinking that it was the might of your own hands that got it, but check out where your source is. It is HE who gives you the power to get wealth.
He would not have given us the power to get wealth if there was no wealth to get. Equally, it would not say in 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, if there was no portion set aside for each and every one of us, no matter who we are or where we came from.
Some Christians will never get their portion because they refuse to transact with the world, but this is not a marriage. Being unequally yoked does not apply to the world of business. If Israel had not been among the Egyptians, they could never have plundered their riches. If Cyrus had never been in the picture, who would have paid for the rebuilding of the temple after the Babylonians destroyed it?
If we don’t come out of our religious mindsets and act on these things, we won’t reach the world for Jesus Christ. Traditions only become truth to us when we accept them as such, but when we think according to the truth of God’s Word, we enter a whole new realm of possibility.
Heavenly Father, I acknowledge right now that it is you who give me power to get wealth. Every good thing I enjoy comes from you and I am so grateful for your goodness. I take on the responsibility to restore dignity to your name by demonstrating who you are in this world.
I lay aside every religious tradition that I have ever embraced concerning money. Show me what to do and how to do it. Thank you, Lord!
