God can’t stay away from human beings

Psalm 8:4

What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?

The longer I live, the more I want to love people and the more convinced I am that to show human beings that they have value apart from what they do, is God’s purpose for believers.

If you are going to love people, you will have to open your heart. You will have to celebrate and not tolerate people. When you open your heart, and decide to like people, you will see what God sees – that they are lovely!

All the blessings that we pray and ask for really don’t mean much if they are not for the purpose of lifting people up. Having people in your life is a blessing.

The day you decide to accept people is the day you start to win. If you spend your time trying to straighten everyone out, you will end up sad. Be helpful without asking for something in return. Just be good to people and leave it there.

If you will slow down long enough to do people good, and to see them for who they are, you will see why God can’t stay away from human beings. As you are a blessing to the people who are in your life, new people will come and your life will be full and rich. Make up your mind to enjoy human beings from this day onwards. They are God’s own workmanship!

Pray

Heavenly Father, thank you for the tremendous value that you place on all of us. Thank you that you are mindful of us and you visit us with your goodness and love.

Today I decide to open my heart to love people just as you have opened yours. Thank you for showing me what you see about human beings. I give up every desire to straighten people out and correct what is wrong with them all the time. I decide to accept them for who they are. Give me the grace to make friends and to fill my life with people I love. Thank you, Lord!
