The path to success

Romans 10:1-2

Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

The thing that cripples the lives of people who love God is assignment without instruction; or in other words, a sense of purpose but not knowing how to carry it out.

Before he became an apostle, Saul was very zealous for the traditions of his fathers. He had a passion for the things of God, but he persecuted the church in ignorance of how to fulfill his purpose.

Are you struggling because you don’t know enough? If you go to church to be inspired, or to experience serenity, you can be defeated and not know why. You need more than superficial things.

If you haven’t discovered the power of immersing yourself in the written Word so that the Holy Ghost can take a rhema from what you have stored up in your heart, you are living beneath your privileges as a believer. You open the Bible randomly to try and hear God speak, but you are left wondering.

Maybe you have placed your natural conditions on the kind of pastor you would follow; maybe in your mind he must look and sound like you. God has called you to a certain church, but you don’t see yourself in that category, so you look for another one.

If you feel like a blind man, groping for God and not knowing how to execute your purpose, don’t panic! There is a better way to do it rather than trying to figure things out and never quite knowing.

Decide to get hold of God and do it His way. Make the Word your highest priority and let your connection to God override your natural mind.  In Him we live and move and have our being. As you prefer Him every day and lean on Him instead of trying to puzzle it out yourself, He will order your steps. Make your prayer time the time you never do without, whatever else is going on.

One by one He will help you to make right decisions as you yield to His direction. Before you know it, you will have a path of success!

Heavenly Father, I want to do life YOUR way! Show me today what steps I need to take to get hold of all the power and privileges that you have bought for me on the cross.

I am not content to stay at the level I am at now. I want to go deeper with you, and I commit to hearing your direction day by day, and to walking in the paths you show me. I declare that the passion I have for you is transformed into a life of productivity and fruitfulness as I fulfill my purpose on this Earth. Thank you, Lord!
