So many Christians are praying to be blessed and waiting for God to bless them.
They believe that if they can just fast one more day, make one more confession and repent of one more hidden sin, that God will relent and bring them the good things they are asking Him for.
Pastors have made sermons about “blessing blockers” and “why Christians aren’t bless-able”
But in Ephesians 1:3 we discover that the person who puts their trust in Jesus is already blessed!
The truth is that God released the blessing towards you from the beginning, when He said, “be fruitful and multiply and have dominion…”
Even under the Old Covenant after sin had entered, Abraham was blessed with an abundant increase of blessings, and King David never lost a battle.
From the time of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the blessing was restored to all who would believe. We are not waiting for anything extra to be released, we already have it made available.
Now it isn’t up to us to be bless-able. Jesus Christ has made us bless-able, and what is more He has given us an assignment to go into all the world and let them know that God’s blessing has been released towards them too, since Jesus came to take away the sin of the ENTIRE WORLD. His work on the cross was total and complete, he doesn’t need any extra help from our works and efforts to improve on what He achieved. His salvation is perfect.
Instead of taking instruction from your circumstances today, and concluding that because you have challenges you are not blessed, remember that God is on your side and has empowered you to come out on top.
Since the blessing is spiritual, and has to be downloaded to this earthly realm before we can see it, it will take you to remain focused on thanking Him for it, since life is the study of attention. Whatever you attend to the most, that is what will increase in your life. If you focus on the problem and give it top priority in your thoughts, guess what? It will gain greater hold.
But if you will settle it once and for all, “NO! I am not having it this way. I am blessed and I WIN!” There is no force in hell that can stop you.
Have confidence in Christ in YOU, praise Him and thank Him for the victory even in the face of what it looks like right now, and go on and take the winner’s spot.
