There is always a key

When you and I showed up on this planet, everything that we would need for our lives to be maximized in what God intended for us as individuals was already in place – all the people, all the finance, all the land, all the help and all the favor – none of it was an afterthought; God is never rushing to meet a need He did not anticipate us having!

This is God’s method of operation, which was evident from the beginning when He first created mankind; God made the entire planet and planted the garden in Eden before he placed Adam there. He always provides us with a finished work.

The ultimate finished work was the cross. By it we are forever guaranteed God’s love, and if we have His love, we need never fear His anger or indifference, not even for a single moment.

God is not holding out on you or me. Romans 8:32 says, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

If you are so close that you can SMELL the breakthrough that you need to lay hold on this glorious inheritance that is yours by reason of God’s extravagant love, but you cannot seem to grasp it, don’t panic!

Every door has a key. Any constraint that we are experiencing in life is because of the lack of a key.

Paul and Silas in the jail at Philippi experienced God’s powerful visitation causing every door in the place to open. The jailer was tripping because he was the one who had made sure they were all locked; but Paul and Silas had the key.

God supernaturally opened the door of Rachel’s womb so that she could conceive – she had the key!

Get hold of this fundamental and vital truth: this is a spiritual planet and answers are in the spirit realm first before they manifest in the natural realm. Having the key means that you connect with the answer that has already been provided.

The key is this: it is the attitude of heart that believes God and rests in His goodness. It is the decision not to point the finger at God, but to judge Him faithful and trustworthy no matter what it looks like. It is the courage to praise Him for the answer even when others are laughing, and to act confidently in line with it, doing the simple things that God tells you to do in your situation.

When God told Sarah to change her name from Sarai to Sarah, meaning “mother of a multitude”, she agreed and acted in line. Notice she didn’t make up her own demonstration of her faith, but she obeyed God’s leading. This was her key.

This is our faith. It doesn’t move God to give us answers, but our faith perceives as real those things that are not yet revealed to the senses.

True faith which is of the heart, manifesting in praise, prayer and petitioning God for His Word to come to pass, will open the door for us into the inheritance that is stored up for in heavenly places – not to keep it FROM us, but to keep it FOR us. (Ephesians 1:3)

Faith that is of the heart will access what already belongs to us in Christ. If you find yourself questioning God’s character, motives and dealings, recognize that it won’t yield the results you seek. Resist the temptation to get too smart too soon with God, and let Him be God in your life!

David was able to kill Goliath because of the time he had on the hillside spent praising and worshiping God. His heart was in a place of trust and confidence. Paul and Silas were able to break out of the innermost jail because of their heart of faith and praise, which overflowed to God, even in that terrible situation.

Just like these, we can take hold of the key to our promise. It isn’t a formula, it’s a relationship. It isn’t about following a list of instructions, it’s about letting the King of the Universe melt our hearts.

At the same time that we stir ourselves up to assert our right to the things He has provided, we also yield to Him and to His goodness, declaring that He alone is true and every man is a liar – including ourselves, if we find ourselves denying His faithfulness!

This is our key!
