You are not at the mercy of your circumstances

There is one thing you can and must settle your heart on as a believer: God has not left you  at the mercy of your circumstances! God in His wisdom has set up systems in His Word which, if you follow, you can get specific results, no matter where you start from.

In Joshua chapter 1, Joshua is given instruction right at the outset of his ministry, saying that the Word of God shall not depart from your mouth but you shall meditate and ponder on it. Something happens when you do this, you will begin to get an understanding about how to do life, and then you will make your way prosperous and then have good success.

Most human being feel like they are victims because they feel excluded from what already exists. They feel excluded because certain things have ring-fences around them that stop others from accessing certain domains. This is why a lot of people fight and fuss trying to bless themselves at the expense of others because they don’t really believe that they can make their way prosperous. But the will of God is that every human being has a unique ability to create something that can only be created by them.

The reason life is hard is because we live it in a perverted way. When God created man, and indeed all of creation, He placed the seed for reproduction on the inside of every created thing, including mankind. The problem with man is we often want to take from other people instead creating with the seed in us. This is a perverted way to live.

Without an understanding that you are a creator like your Heavenly Father, you will buy the lie that the way that you will have anything is to take from somebody else. Please listen to me carefully. You have seeds of possibility on the inside of you. You might have grown up among people with a scarcity mind-set, a mind-set that thinks that if someone has a lot, it means that there is less for you; this is not true at all! You have everything you will ever need! You don’t have to settle for “how the cookies were crumbled” you can crumble your own cookie!

In 1 Corinthians 6, the Apostle Paul was addressing sexual promiscuity in the church, but he makes an astounding statement in verse 17:

17- But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

The challenge of life is to act in concert with your union to the Lord! 1 John 4:17 tells us that whilst we are in this world, we are exactly as Jesus is, right now in Heaven! Jesus is not suicidal, he is not in lack, he is not sick, he is not fearful, he is in shalom right now! As He is, so are you! Don’t expect less!

Today I am praying that you will embrace the creative power of God in you. I am praying that you will take your rightful place of dominion in this world. I am praying that you will find the courage to breakout of that way of thinking that has kept you as a prisoner of your circumstances. I am praying that today will be the day that you will arise from the depression and prostration that your circumstances have kept you in.

It is a brand new day! You are one Spirit with God! Just like God who created what He wanted in the beginning of time, I am praying that today you will begin to recreate your world. I am praying that you will live in concert with your union with the Lord.
