God fulfills the desires of your heart

This year there is going to be a pay day at your house, and it’s time to get stirred up about what God will do in your life!

Human beings love to eulogize the past, and to reminisce about the good times they enjoyed. The Israelites did exactly that in the wilderness when they hit challenges and they started longing for the food they ate in Egypt. What they failed to remember was that they had been slaves!

There are never really any good old days! Of course God did great things for you in the past, but the very best of what He has in store for you is in your future. Do you have the strength to press for it again?

The greatest deterrent you will ever face to receiving the blessing of God in any area of your life is when hopelessness takes up residence in your soul. And when hopelessness sets in, it steals your courage to dare to believe again.

In Proverbs 13:12 we are told that hope deferred makes the heart sick. People assume that the hospital is where you go to find sick people, but many believers are sick and wounded in their hearts because of disappointment and delays on the things they have been hoping and believing for.

It’s a vital part of living that you have something to look forward to that you believe will come to pass. But when the desires of your heart keep getting thwarted, and postponement and delays repeatedly occur, you stop even talking about that thing that you were once passionate about. Others are married with kids, but you don’t even talk about the possibility of finding a husband or wife any more. Others are promoted, or make a success of their business, but you have resigned yourself to a lower position in life. Others branch out in ministry, but you have stopped expecting God to use you.

This year God is going to bring you out of that place of hopelessness, because the second part of that verse says that a desire fulfilled is a tree of life! I don’t care how long your hope has been deferred, God sent Jesus to heal our broken hearts.

Jesus Himself taught, “Ask and you shall receive, that your joy may be full!” THIS year, by reason of this Word and this anointing, you are going to have so many desires fulfilled that you will come alive like you never before! There will be a freshness and joy that will come because you see a manifestation of what you desire.

God is not capricious. The very fact that you can imagine it, means that you can have it. The very fact that you desire it means that God has graced you with the ability to do it!

Don’t you dare die in hopelessness; the Lord will be good to you again, and just as Elijah heard the sound of the abundance of rain coming from afar in 1 Kings 18:41, so you must tune in your ear to hear the sound of your answer before you see the fullness  of it.

In the realm of the spirit you will hear your answer before you see it. Can you hear the sound of increase, and healing and promotion? Can you hear the sound of  joy and laughter in your home instead of depression and strife?

The amazing thing is that the Lamb of God was slain for us from before the foundation of the world. That means that before you ever encountered a single challenge, the answer has already been supplied! Whatever problem you are facing, there is a solution, and it is accessible to you because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Pray it with me right now, “Holy Spirit, teach me again to expect the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I still believe that God is not a man that He should lie, and that if He said it He will do it, and if He spoke it HE will bring it to pass; and I choose to stand on the Word concerning my situation once again. I believe God!”
