In the beginning was the Word
Everything in life starts with the Word. The Word of God is the foundation of all life.
A life has to be built. Success has to be built; it doesn’t just happen and as believers we are not called to build on our own, we are supposed to build with the Word of God.
The truth is that whatever our circumstances, we are all internalizing some opinion or prognosis concerning our lives. The words we choose to listen to will ultimately govern our thinking about the possibilities open to us, which will lead to a chain of responses that will determine how far we go in life.
The words we live under are the primary substance that constructs our lives.
As a human beings we cannot control the circumstances of our birth, or the set of natural characteristics that we inherit, but we can all choose the words we live under.
We are the only creatures with the ability to step back from ourselves and observe ourselves. We are not inevitably driven by instinct; nor are we just victims of what has happened to us up until this point, with a future that is predetermined by the events of the past; we can live one way for 5 years and then totally differently for the next 5 years since we are in control of what we choose to absorb, believe and speak over our own lives.
According to James 3:2-5 the words we live under turn our whole body: into fear, defeat, victim mindset, self condemnation – or into health, peace, success, wholeness, wellbeing and strength.
Satan’s biggest strategy to bring you and I down is to make sure we don’t hear anything different from what we have always heard. Every oppressive regime in the world stops you from hearing your rights, since words create new possibilities. It is indeed true that we don’t live by bread alone, but by every Word that God speaks. His Word sparks life in us.
The words of your mouth pilot you to your destination. Since the words in your heart and mouth are turning your whole body, you need to choose words that will take you somewhere you will like. All of your life will the product of the words you have lived under. As we deliberately choose to build our lives on the Word of God, we can have the outcomes that God promises.
Don’t settle for anything less!
