Ephesians 2:4, 5 & 8
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ….For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God
The worst thing about living is when you have given something your best, but your best simply wasn’t good enough. You are haunted by failure and disappointed dreams. You cannot seem to help but constantly relive the mistakes of the past.
What is there to console your soul at those times?
The fact is this: Jesus Christ was an overpayment for your defeat. God gives you so much kindness that He gives you what we were not good enough to get by yourself.
It is time to leave the past behind and to become more impressed with what Jesus has done for you than with what you did or else maybe failed to do.
If you don’t deliberately turn your back on the past and refuse to mourn any longer over past defeat, you will never have any time or opportunity to discover what God had in mind when He thought of making you. What purpose did he encode into you?
We were bankrupt, but He quickened us by the great love with which He loves us. He gave us some faith so that we could connect with something that we never qualified for.
You didn’t find God, He found you. It was even His doing that you felt tired with sin, and worn out by a godless life. He put it into your heart to start needing Him.
The redemption that He has given to us is too huge to understand in the context of this life alone. He saved our souls for all eternity.
That is why however long you stay at El-Shaddai, you will never find us beating you over the head with your failings and telling you what you ought to be doing. Our job is to reveal Jesus so that you can grasp for yourself the hidden secrets of this gospel of grace, and obtain for yourself your rightful inheritance.
