You don’t belong in a stereotype

Mark 4:14 & 20

The sower sows the Word…..those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.

To attain to biblical prosperity – which is wholeness and wellbeing in all five realms of human existence (spiritual, social, financial, emotional and mental)  – you don’t have to start out with advantages in life. In fact there isn’t a single person who is able to achieve the God kind of abundant life on the strength of their own abilities and natural privileges.

Wherever we start from, attaining to this quality of life comes only by sowing the Word of God into an individual’s heart and speaking it over his or her life on a daily basis.

1 Peter 1:23 tells us that the Word is incorruptible seed and it lives and abides forever. It will always produce the harvest for which it was sent.

Since the quality of the seed is the same for everyone, you are not a special case. We all have the same opportunity to produce the harvest of the one hundred fold return in our lives.

The Word is for everyone. Don’t limit yourself based on any reason whatsoever. God delights in raising people up and that means that you can exceed and confound every stereotypical expectation. As a child of God you do not belong in any mould or statistic, so stop thinking of yourself as one!

It starts with receiving the Word of God like a hungry man receives food. When you hear the Word taught, embrace it and believe it; make adjustments to what you thought previously in acknowledgment of its authority, and cling to it through every storm that comes.

Don’t let yourself be careless or preoccupied when it comes to the Word, preferring your own agenda or priorities. Keep absorbing it until your heart is full of it. Out of the fullness of your heart, your mouth will speak and, according to Mark 11:23-24, you will have what you say.

It is so vital that when we go to church,  we make sure that the Word is being sown into our lives and that we are not just being entertained with jokes and feel-good gimmicks. It is the Word of God alone that has the power to produce the harvest that our souls long for.

Praying for you and believing God for your hundred fold return.
